Living at Meritage's Live Oak Development in Redlands, CA

The parkway is the patch of land that runs between the sidewalk and road.  As we understand it, this land is owned by the City, but managed by the HOA.  Modifications to these parkways are  prohibited per the only newsletter sent out to the Live Oak community in June 2025, but i t appears this is yet another rule that is not being enforced by the developer-controlled HOA given  the multitude of homes in the Alder and Sycamore communities which have modified the parkways in front of their respective homes.     UPDATE (04/15/26) :   I recently requested HOA clarification regarding the permissibility of modifications to parkways given a conversation w/ a homeowner who insisted they received written approval to modify the parkway in front of their property as part of their impending front yard landscaping project.  To be clear, I do not expect a response. Week of 02/23/26 - Signage installed ahead of the park' s grand opening to the public.  We are hopeful that the City of Redlands will enforce its leash laws, unlike our Meritage-controlled HOA Board in the Live Oak community. Ignorance or Entitlement?
